THUR 24 SEP (minimum of 12 participants needed to conduct class)
SUBJECT: Situational Awareness & Unarmed Self Defense I
DESCRIPTION:
Gain a deeper understanding of how to detect, avoid, and react to threats through situational awareness. Learn to defend yourself against some of the most common types of physical attacks while using unarmed self-defense techniques to include breaking holds, defense against armed attackers, and striking techniques.
TIME: 1830 (6:30 PM)
LOCATION: Training Range Alpha
EQUIPMENT: PT (physical training) attire i.e. sneakers, T-shirt, shorts, etc..., Notebook & pen, or iPad type device.
AFTER THE 24 SEP CLASS, TRAINING WILL REGULARLY BE HELD ON TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS AT 1830, local locations TBD based on training and weather. Each week we will layer in previously learned training while introducing new subjects. On weekends we will have scheduled training ranges from time to time and FTXs (field training exercises).
Range-based training will consist of subjects such as marksmanship, land navigation, defensive driving and etc. However, every class of AmCon Seminole is inter-connected and each learned skill-set complements the next. So, we encourage regular attendance in order to keep pace with the training cycle and your peers. Seminole Co. CERT classes we will have training on Fire Suppression, HAZMAT, and Terrorism. I will let everyone know when CERT classes will resume and how to register ASAP. Until then we will continue to prepare as AMCON members.

For you local HAMs out there!!!
There will be an 80m State HF comms net on +/- 3.850 MHz tonight at 730pm EST. This will be the first of its kind so lets make sure we have a good turn out!
Following that net on the same freq, there will be a SE Regional net at 8pm EST. This is a recurring net that happens every Sunday, and we get check-ins ranging from NC to FL!
If you're not a licensed HAM operator, you can still check us out. You don't need a license to listen! You can listen to us on the Orlando SDR radio here (http://sdr.n4but.com/). I'll post a short "how to" in the comments.
