In this vid, Mike mentions "staging" which is an equalizer that allows your 'awareness' to be of value.
Staging helps you take back the initiative that a threat will often initially take. This is accomplished by first by being aware while being in Condition Yellow, then going to Condition Orange in relation to Coopers Colors and then staging , or preparing for a threat.
This way you can more effectively and efficiently deal with the said threat by eliminating it’s element of surprise and buying yourself precious seconds to respond. in an expedient manner.

There will be an 80m State HF comms net on +/- 3.850 MHz tonight at 730pm EST. This will be the first of its kind so lets make sure we have a good turn out!
Following that net on the same freq, there will be a SE Regional net at 8pm EST. This is a recurring net that happens every Sunday, and we get check-ins ranging from NC to FL!
If you're not a licensed HAM operator, you can still check us out. You don't need a license to listen! You can listen to us on the Orlando SDR radio here (http://sdr.n4but.com/). I'll post a short "how to" in the comments.
