Back in September, we took on the responsibility of recruiting for the Seminole County CERT (Community Emergency Response Team, Longwood).
CERTs assist local Emergency Management, FEMA, and the DHS with emergency preparedness and response. And CERT training involves anything from detecting Terrorism and Fire Suppression to Search and Rescue ops.
Right now, AMCON Seminole is not only looking for people interested in CERT training but also those who are interested in general preparedness, as AMCON USA prescribes.

Congratulations to all who attended, supported, and...FINISHED the 2020 AMCON FL KIT CARSON RENDEZVOUS.
WHAT ATTENDEES ARE SAYING...
"The lesson that stood out most to me was value and the benefits of training in an immersive environment with no distractions and no comforts. I have gone through several "academies" for several city agencies while undergoing both academic and physical training. But none had the level of intensity, challenge, and fellowship that I experienced in the Rendezvous."

Edit: changing frequency to on or around 3.850 MHz
For you local HAMs out there!!!
There will be an 80m State HF comms net on +/- 3.850 MHz tonight at 730pm EST. This will be the first of its kind so lets make sure we have a good turn out!
Following that net on the same freq, there will be a SE Regional net at 8pm EST. This is a recurring net that happens every Sunday, and we get check-ins ranging from NC to FL!
If you're not a licensed HAM operator, you can still check us out. You don't need a license to listen! You can listen to us on the Orlando SDR radio here (http://sdr.n4but.com/). I'll post a short "how to" in the comments.
OBJECTIVE REPORTING - UNREST AT THE CAPITOL BUILDING AND FUTURE INAUGURATION COVERAGE
Mike shares his thanks with the American Contingency members who were covering events at the nation's Capitol Building yesterday. Their reporting was consistently ahead of major media outlets and is being analyzed for future conversations and content to better educate and prepare our community. Thank you again!
